HISTORY

“Casaleta” was born from the real name of the place where still today the main house welcomes us.
Our company is placed in the Marche region in Serra de’ Conti, in the province of Ancona.
From three generations, our family trasforms the products of the territory in typical excellence products; initially in the world of the butchery and then also in agriculture thanks to a strong attachment to the land and traditions.
Since the Seventies, cultivating these passions, our father, purcheses a small farm dedicated to the production of wheat, sunflowers, sugar beet and oil.
At the beginning of the Nineties, he extends his passion for agriculture and starts the production of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, buying an uncontaminated valley in Castiglioni d’Arcevia, inside which is placed a vineyard of eleven acres. He devotes himself to it with passion and desire to improve; now, that passion is picked up by the whole family.
In 2010, the awareness of having a vine with unique pieces of original organoleptic characteristics over seventy native, is the element key for the decision to become a winery.
Our biggest challenge was born: create a cellar and a wine under its own brand of high quality in the land of Verdicchio Classico.
In the face of an old vineyard more than half a century there are those who explaned, not us: we save e valuable genetic material and increment it to preserve and mantain the original flavor of the past, grapevine by grapevine, reproducing by the splips from “ vecchie signore” the clones of old Verdicchio because the old landraces represent a true territorial heritage.
